"Our Children"

"Hearken unto me now therefore, O ye children, and attend to the words of my mouth."(Proverbs 7:24)

"Our children are coming to Jesus". God's House is a church where our children feel the drawing of the Holy Spirit and are coming to Jesus. It's amazing to watch each child's personality come into play as they ask Jesus to be their Savior. A CHILD CAN HEAR THE VOICE OF GOD!!! Their lives are free of baggage, so they are easily introduced to Jesus. I'm very honored to be the Preacher at a congregation where children so freely come to Jesus. Most of them have heard me preach since they were babies and I've, with much simplicity explained to them, that it is Jesus that saves them. They know that it's not a church building, a walk down an isle, not water baptism nor a host of other complicated things that some poor children are told they must do to have Jesus in their hearts. It's sad that some children sit in church, Sunday after Sunday, listening to dead men preach dead sermons that does nothing but confuse them. It is Jesus alone that washes our sin away. "Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is none other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved."(Acts 4:12) We have several under the age of 15 that are anxiously awaiting their day of water baptism. Thank You Jesus for Your Presence that is stirring our young people.

"Jesus Wept"

"Jesus wept."(John 11:35)

"Jesus Wept". I've often wondered what all Jesus was weeping over on this very sad and emotional day. It is obvious the He was very upset over the death of His close friend Lazarus but He had prophesied that his death was for the Glory of God. "When Jesus heard that, he said, This sickness is not unto death, but for the glory of God, that the Son of God might be glorified thereby."(John 11:4) Since Jesus was the Son of God, Virgin born - God in the flesh, the manifestation of The Mystery of Godliness, Emmanuel-God dwelling among us!! What did He feel that day? "And without controversy great is the mystery of godliness: God was manifest in the flesh, justified in the Spirit, seen of angels, preached unto the Gentiles, believed on in the world, received up into glory."(1 Timothy 3:16). I'm sure He saw more that day than the death of one friend that troubled Him given the truth that He was the All-Knowing, All-Seeing God among men. Did He see the sin curse in action, was He troubled by the consequences of the spirit of death among the whole human race? We make choices daily, these choices produce life or death spiritually. The choices we make may bring immediate results and some may take awhile to manifest but they too will rise to the light. "I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing: therefore choose life, that both thou and thy seed may live: "(Deuteronomy 30:19) Jesus wept over us that day, He wept over our pain, our hurts, our toxic memories, our selfish decisions that affect others. He saw all things that day that would cause us to suffer, whether it was a product of this sin cursed earth or a product of our own depravity. Jesus Christ saw US that day and HE WEPT over us!!! Jesus lost a friend that day, have you experienced a loss lately of any kind? It doesn't have to be a death, loss comes in many ways but it always brings pain, emotional trauma and suffering of some kind. Is it bankruptcy, divorce, a rebellious child or maybe a spouse that doesn't see what he or she is doing to your wonderful family? The news of Lazarus was an event in Jesus life, what news have you gotten lately that has blown you out of the water? What are you troubled about at this moment? What are you weeping over right now? Always remember that Jesus is weeping with you!!
He loves you more than you will ever know!

"They that Know"

In times of uncertainty, it's very important that you are certain that you know who is REALLY in control of things!! "And they that know thy name will put their trust in thee: for thou, LORD, hast not forsaken them that seek thee."(Psalm 9:10). Scott L. Boatner

"In the Distance"

"Howbeit when he, the Spirit of truth, is come, he will guide you into all truth: for he shall not speak of himself; but whatsoever he shall hear, that shall he speak: and he will shew you THINGS TO COME."(John 16:13)

It's dark out but I've got the light so I'll find my way through the jungle of danger and demons. They do exist but God is greater than all the monsters under my bed!! Occasionally a skeleton from my past pops up his head up but God handles them too!! To have No fear is my desire and that's going pretty well but being confused by the human race that my friend Jesus died for is a never ending process. Talking about Jesus one moment and drinking a Budweiser the next is confusing to me. Hypocrisy in the House of God is epidemic in our game we call Church in America. May I say we have taken our freedom and wealth for granted so it is ever so slowly destroying us. I don't want to finish the race old, cold and cynical. God keep my vision and mission clear, blind me from all the distractions. I must finish the race, complete my course and finish the work given me.... So I will continue into the distance till journeys end!

"Wherefore gird up the loins of your mind, be sober, and hope to the end for the grace that is to be brought unto you at the revelation of Jesus Christ;"(1 Peter 1:13)

"The Difference"

Luk 11:52 Woe unto you, lawyers! for ye have taken away the key of knowledge: ye entered not in yourselves, and them that were entering in ye hindered.

Know it Alls!!! Your not going and you don't want anyone else to go. It appears to be the goal in your life to hinder not help. It's a type of insanity, a spiritual, religious insanity, if you please!! Something about you feeds on this type destruction because you do not have a relationship with Jesus Christ. Your relationships with other people are just for the perverted purpose of draining the spiritual life out of them so they will be degraded to your level because you know deep down that you cannot rise to theirs.... If you do help others it's actually for show to cover up the real you. You can be so entrenched with this evil spirit that the only thing that makes you uncomfortable and nervous of discovery is the Un-cut raw VOICE of God!! The Voice that shakes mountains, it, you cannot be around. You must destroy the messenger to stop the Voice before it exposes you for what and who you really are, you fear that happening constantly.

"Blessed are they that Mourn"

"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."(Matthew 5:4)

"They that Mourn". The word "mourn" means to grieve due to loss, most of the time, the loss of the life of a loved one. We are created in the image of God so therefore we love deeply and we are very connected to those in our family/friend circle. We are so much like our Creator that we are emotional over the pain and suffering of people we hear about that we don't even know personally. Unfortunately mourning the loss of loved ones is as much a part of life as life itself. As a Pastor, one of the things that goes with the calling of Ministry, is trying to comfort those that are mourning the loss of a loved one. From the standpoint of a Minister, it begins with a phone call, the news of an elderly person has passed but is in a better place, or someone that has poor health has had a heart attack and didn't make it. The worst possible phone call you can get as a Pastor is that someone in your church has lost a child. The sadness associated with the loss of a child is beyond my personal comprehension because I've personally never lost a child. Since I am a Pastor, I comfort people that go through all kind of hardships, tragedies and loss. My wife and I have two sons that have given us two wonderful daughter-n-loves and three angelic grandsons. We have never experienced such a horrific loss as that of a child, so to help us better comfort those that have lost children, we sat and talked with two families that had each suffered this horrific experience. The two senior citizen family's that we talked to, even though it has been many years since their loss could recant every detail. As we listened to their stories unfold we realized that all we could do to comfort those that lose children unexpectedly, is cry with them, pray with them, embrace them and let them feel our love. Mourning the loss of someone that you love more than life itself is a process that we can only get through with the mercy and grace of God. It is during these times that we, God's children, should stand so close to our friends that we can catch them if they fall. "Blessed are the merciful: for they shall obtain mercy."(Matthew 5:7). The Mercy of God is what gets all of us through the dark days of life and if you live on this planet long enough, you will need mercy from God and your fellow citizens. When we find ourselves in these dark times, the more people we have around us the more strength we feel because there is strength in numbers. "Two are better than one; For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up."(Ecclesiastes 4:9a-10) If someone near you is hurting today, reach out your hand, you never know when you may need theirs. And may God protect us all in Jesus' name!!!

"Jesus is the Savior of the World"

"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me."(John 14:6)

"The Truth" A great man said, "Bury a lie and it will rot but bury the Truth and it will Rise"! God is moving in the earth and the momentum of the Latter Rain cannot be stopped because it is by divine design. There are politicians that bring about unjust laws in our land but God's Law is eternal and cannot be governed. There are religious people that try to hinder the work of the Holy Spirit but they too shall fail. "Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye compass sea and land to make one proselyte, and when he is made, ye make him twofold more the child of hell than yourselves."(Matthew 23:15). Jesus is the King of Kings and The Lord of Lords, every knee shall bow and every mouth shall confess! "For it is written, As I live, saith the Lord, every knee shall bow to me, and every tongue shall confess to God. So then every one of us shall give account of himself to God."(Romans 14:11-12). The Truth will always rise to the top and every lie of the devil shall rot. You can't stop the movement of Jesus because He is the Way, The Truth and the Life! I'm told that between 20,000 and 30,000 people get saved in China every 24 hours. In India, just south of China in April I personal saw thousands get saved, healed and delivered. In the church that I Pastor, we are seeing our children come to Christ as the Holy Spirit draws them to Christ and are being Baptized!! The movement of God is too great and you cannot stop it, you will just be run over by its power. "And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken: but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder."(Matthew 21:44) The Warriors of God cannot be stopped, take one down and 10 more will take his or her place. It's a good feeling to know that your team cannot be defeated!!! The Truth marches on to victory!!! I suggest you join the winning team today, by calling on Jesus!! He awaits your call....

"Spiritual Warfare"

"Wherefore take unto you the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to withstand in the evil day, and having done all, to stand."(Ephesians 6:13)

"The Evil Day". The Bible is filled with reasons bad things happen to good people. I know, you have been taught all your life that we don't know why and God has a reason for "allowing" bad things to happen. Some time ago I preached a series of sermons on "Why bad things happens to good people". My text verse was; "As the bird by wandering, as the swallow by flying, so the curse causeless shall not come."(Proverbs 26:2) The "curse causeless shall not come", in other words, there are reasons for every action on the planet. For instance, sowing and reaping, satanic attacks, speaking death over your life with words of hopelessness rather than words of hope and life, etc... "Death and life are in the power of the tongue: and they that love it shall eat the fruit thereof."(Proverbs 18:21) The list of reasons is quite a lengthy one if you will actually read the Bible for yourself rather than just listening to someone else's opinion. It is what it is, we live on a sin cursed earth that is filled with darkness and evil people that are controlled by an evil spirit. "The eyes of the LORD are in every place, beholding the evil and the good."(Proverbs 15:3) We are faced with both, evil and good, on the earth at all times. We must be wise and avoid evil if it's obvious but sometime we just don't see it coming. What can we do about surprise attacks? There are some things that we have no way of knowing about, so avoiding them is not an option? "The LORD shall preserve thee from all evil: he shall preserve thy soul."(Psalm 121:7). We walk by faith and not by sight so we must trust The Lord at all times, even on the good days. In an instant, you can be blindsided and a good day can turn into a nightmare before you know what has happened. It can happen so fast and tragically that regaining the loss can almost be impossible. According to the Apostle Paul, we need to be clothed in God's armour at all times for protection from evil. The Psalmist declared that " There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."(Psalm 91:10-11). Give your ways and days to The Lord, He has you in His hands!!

"The World just needs Jesus!"

"For if by one man's offence death reigned by one; much more they which receive abundance of grace and of the gift of righteousness shall reign in life by one, JESUS CHRIST."(Romans 5:17)

Kari and I are in the FL Keys for some relaxation. A little geographical lesson for those of you that are not that familiar with the Keys. Key West is 0 mile marker and its 100 miles to Key Largo which, to my knowledge is the last key before the mainland. We are staying about 1/2 way between Key West and Miami. I think it's 154 miles from Key West to Miami, we are at the 80 mile marker. This afternoon after I took Kari out to some coral reefs for some snorkeling we went to Key West for dinner at the Conch Republic and some shopping. We were in a shop and Kari saw a shirt that, according to her, I just had to have, so while I was trying it on, Kari was talking to the nice young lady attendant from the Ukraine. As the conversation continued, the subject of how long we've been married came up. The young lady asked how long we had been married, Kari responded, almost 32 years. The very nice young lady told Kari that she didn't even look 32 and what's the secret of a marriage that last that long. Kari's answer was easy and to the point, GOD!! Life was created by God, redeemed by His Son Jesus and it will not work without Him. We then went to our car and started making our way out of Key West. We stopped at a 24/7 to get some water for the ride back to Islamorada. Kari went in the store while I stayed outside and started a conversation with the backpackers and homeless people. I enjoy talking to people, listening to their stories. (even if they are make believe) Raymond or Ray Ray as his home boys were calling him was a typical backpacker, flip flops, backpack and very tan. As you can imagine we had a very interesting conversation, we talked about cars, I left him with a "God Bless You"! I began the 80 mile drive back to our resort, Ms Kari drifted off to sleep, I began to think about the cross section of people God has allowed us to meet and how many we have been able to tell that Jesus is the only hope of peace. Thought about Ray Ray who will bed down somewhere tonight and the girl from the old country that works 7/12's to pay rent, her loneliness because she has no family here and all her questions about our family. Kari and I just love all people, we can't help it, we just do!! We love to share Jesus with them because He is the only HOPE for any of us. Jesus is the very simple answer to all of our troubles, loneliness, hurts, confusion, struggles- THE SIMPLE ANSWER IS JESUS, share Him today, it will change your life.

"Our Foolish Flesh"

Our fleshly human nature will do something stupid every day unless we tell it not to.... Just sayin.

"Delivered from Death"

"For thou hast delivered my soul from death, mine eyes from tears, and my feet from falling."(Psalm 116:8)

"Tears" Sometime we shed tears of joy but in the context of this verse, these are tears of sorrow. In this verse God promises to DELIVER us from the tears of sorrow!! If you are alive, on planet earth and breathing, you have shed tears of sorrow along the journey of life. "How long shall I take counsel in my soul, having sorrow in my heart daily? how long shall mine enemy be exalted over me?"(Psalm 13:2) The Psalmist ask, "How long", Are you wondering how long this sorrow will last? He says that he has sorrow (grief) on a daily basis. After a tragic event of any kind, especially the death of a loved one, we have sorrow daily until we journey through the "valley of the shadow of death". Grieving is a journey that can have an end, a finish or a completion not forgetting but processing the sorrow. Regardless of the reason for your tears today, God is going to deliver you from that pain. It is not His will for you to live in sorrow but to walk in freedom and joy. If our enemy, satan, can keep you down and out over a hurt in your past then he can steal your future. If you live your life looking back at all of your pain, it will eventually destroy you and you will never fulfill God's purpose for your life. "A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken."(Proverbs 15:13) If you live in sorrow constantly, it will break your spirit and a broken spirit drieth the bones. "A merry heart doeth good like a medicine: but a broken spirit drieth the bones."(Proverbs 17:22) If you don't find deliverance from the tears of continual sorrow, it will destroy you. God has a plan for your life, a vision for you to fulfill for His Kingdom that will bring peace and joy to you. God's ultimate goal in all of our lives is to wipe away every tear! "And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away."(Revelation 21:4) We are on a journey, that sometimes involves the shedding of tears, but God doesn't want us to live in constant sorrow but to experience His deliverance. If you are crying today, cry out to God for His deliverance and He will wipe away every tear.

"Tears and Tomorrow"

"Thus saith the LORD; Refrain thy voice from weeping, and thine eyes from tears: for thy work shall be rewarded, saith the LORD; and they shall come again from the land of the enemy. And there is hope in thine end, saith the LORD, that thy children shall come again to their own border."(Jeremiah 31:16-17

"No more Tears". Jeremiah, a spokesman for God, declares that it is time we refrain from weeping and shedding tears. Since God created us in His own image, He knows that we are emotional beings and stopping the tears is not always the easiest thing to do. God is fully aware of our pain, grief, loss and every need that we have. In order to help get us past the pain He gives us promises to motivate us to stop weeping over our past emotional traumas. We are promised that our "work shall be rewarded", so your life is not unnoticed but shall be honored by God! I know that many of you are overlooked for promotions, unnoticed by friends and completely left out by some people. God is not like man that He could lie but He is just, merciful and blesses us beyond measure. Jeremiah says to stop weeping, wipe your tears so you can see all the good things that God has in your future. "The young lions do lack, and suffer hunger: but they that seek the LORD shall not want any good thing."(Psalm 34:10). Jeremiah goes on to tell us that we will be delivered from the enemy, that our future is full of hope and our children will not be lost but shall be blessed. If the enemy has held your children captive, it's time that they be released and within your borders so they can be blessed. "The LORD shall increase you more and more, you and your children."(Psalm 115:14). According to God's word, our future is bright and blessed but in order to step into your future, you must be delivered from your past pain. It would be impossible to fully see the blessings of God in your future if you are constantly wiping tears. Tears have a way of altering your vision because amidst the emotion, you get your future confused with your past. If you have been so wounded that you are in that condition, you will trade your future for your past if your not very careful how you process the hurt of yesterday. God wants to heal us from the pain of yesterday and propel us into the future. Today is very important, this real time present moment can change your life forever if you allow God into every room in your house. If you want tomorrow to be different than today then you will have to something different today than you did yesterday!!

"My Family and our years of Ministry"

"Whereunto I am appointed a preacher, and an apostle, and a teacher of the Gentiles."(2 Timothy 1:11)

"A Preacher". I'm sitting in the dark in my bed in a motel in somewhere, America. In the other bed is my youngest son, Micah Joseph Boatner, born 8-17-87. The lights are off because he's asleep. The only light in the room is my I-Pad. I've written several devotions for the blogs, a few pages in some books I'm working on and I've counseled several people via email that needed some confidential biblical guidance. As I sit here writing, my Spirit is drawn to pray for my sons. My oldest son is Matthew Scott Boatner, born 8-23-82, they are both such a blessing in our lives. Ms Kari, my lovely wife, loves our sons beyond measure. I could have searched the world over a million times or more and not found a wife that loves my sons as much as she does, Thx Jesus!! (Micah means "He who is like Jehovah" and Matthew means "Gift of God"). We also love the young ladies they chose as their wives, our daughter-n-loves, Allison and Jodi. These two wonderful families have given us three amazing grandsons. (William Matthew, John Scott and Joseph Micah Boatner) As I sit here I'm remembering all the nights we've spent in motels together traveling preaching the Gospel. If Kari and I had a dollar for every church service our sons have attended without complaint, we could take that vacation we so desperately need. The years of pressing our bodies beyond measure to reach the world with the Word have taken their toll on our bodies but our Spirits are more willing than ever to serve in the Kingdom of God. Kari and I often look back over the years of ministry, we are very aware that there are some details of the journey we wished we had done differently but as a whole we have no regrets. Kari and I have been in the ministry since Matthew was born, I surrendered to preach the Gospel in the first church service that Matthew ever attended. He was 17 days old, Kari was in the hospital 13 days bringing Matthew into the world, I almost lost her, but as usual, God came to the rescue!! We were having a revival at the church we attended and on Thursday night of the meeting, September 9th of 1982, we went as a family and I became a Preacher of the Gospel. At that moment in time, I really had no idea what that meant but I knew beyond any shadow of a doubt that I had obeyed God. We have traveled a lot of miles for Jesus preaching the Gospel and the verse above has come to pass. I've preached countless times via many churches, venues and media outlets. I've taught the word more times than I can count and now a group of Gospel Pioneers that are preaching the Gospel to the 1.2 billion people in India refer to me as their Apostle, (A title they gave me). We, as a family, are very excited about God's future plans for the Boatner family. We anticipate Scott Boatner Ministries International shaking the nations of the world with the Gospel of the Kingdom before the Coming of The Lord!! The journey continues, God is good and we believe there is more before us than behind us. Please believe with us for a mighty harvest for the Glory of God.

"Mourning"

"Blessed are they that mourn: for they shall be comforted."(Matthew 5:4)

"Today we Mourn". Once again our hearts ache with the pain of loss and sorrow! We mourn the loss of children because in an instant they were taken away from their families so needlessly. They were sent to school, just like any other day, to learn, to be educated so they could grow up to be mature adults. As a parent, I can't even begin to imagine how the parents of those precious children must have felt when they heard the news of yet another "school shooting" and the waiting to hear that it was one of their very own that had been brutally murdered for no reason. It is beyond my comprehension, how someone could commit such an evil act against innocent children. As a Minister of The Gospel of Grace, I pray for God's Grace to help the families through this nightmare of terror!! The Apostle Paul spoke Grace and Peace to the churches he wrote to in the New Testament and we speak Grace and Peace to you today. We pray that the promise of Jesus Christ to "comfort those that mourn" will come quickly into your hearts. At the risk of sounding shallow or cliche, I'm sorry for the sudden and tragic loss of your sweet precious babies. One day soon, Jesus Christ will reign on earth in Righteousness and put an end to such evil. Our schools should be safe houses but in an instant they have become houses of terror. May God rid our schools of this insanity!!! Jesus, Please protect our babies!! Psalm 91

"Doom's Day"

"The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever."(Isaiah 40:8)

"The Mayans". 11:11 pm, December 21, 2012 has come and gone and we are still here. If you study the Mayan People, they were a very brilliant group of people, pretty amazing actually. Even though they were a very brilliant group of people, we may have assumed more than they intended. The Word of God is the only word, past, present or future that you can have absolute trust in. It's human nature to over-react to dramatic non-essential things and not react to matters of utmost importance. It's really amazing how many people spent their life savings on doom's day survival kits, special food, special generators, etc... I'm sure the "peddlers of fear" still have plenty survival kits for sale at half-price by now for those of you that wish to stock up for the next "fear scam"! The people that sell the doom's day supplies get richer each time we have a doom's day prediction. (Remember Y2K) If you would simply read the Bible and believe it, just think of the money you could save by not having to buy all this special stuff from the peddlers of FEAR. The saying that "death and taxes are the only two things that are for certain", well lets add a third one to the list. Human nature will for certain do something dramatic in response to fear unless you deliberately tell it not to, every time!! Fear does not come from God!! "For God hath not given us the spirit of fear; but of power, and of love, and of a sound mind."(2 Timothy 1:7) Power, Love and a Sound Mind are all you need to make a calm, wise decision when faced with fear. The spirt of fear is consuming the minds of people so we must put on the armour of God and stand against it in the evil day. Jesus warned us in the Gospels about this type of doom's day philosophy, where people would say anything to control you by fear. "And many false prophets shall rise, and shall deceive many."(Matthew 24:11) The next time you hear something that scares you to the point of frantically preparing for some doom's day event, just read your Bible. The Bible clearly outlines the future of the nations, of the world and the followers of Jesus Christ. The real question is, Are you a follower of Jesus Christ? If you do not know Jesus, I urge you to call on Jesus today because He is the Savior of the World. Jesus has taken care of your future so don't get caught up in the spirit of fear, just put your trust in Him!!

"News Years Eve"

"Hear counsel, and receive instruction, that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end."(Proverbs 19:20)

"Thy Latter End" Today is the last day of this year, 2012! We are about to plunge into a new year which always brings hope of a better tomorrow. Before we shut out the lights on the last year, please join me and let's take one last look. To me, it has been one of the most trying years of my life yet one of the most triumphant at the same time. At this moment I feel so inspired by God's Spirit but so human and so hurt by the painful moments of this past year. If I may be extremely transparent, the pain and tears of 2012 are almost causing me to be fearful of a new year. Then again, the spiritual precedents set in the past year have me so hopeful about the upcoming year that I can hardly wait for the clock to strike midnight. My family and I are part of a multifaceted ministry, in which thousands have been saved this year, yet some of our other ministries struggle to exist. A spiritual paradox, the best and the worst year all at the same time. It's in the early morning hours of December 31, my precious wife and God's Presence are the only ones present with me in our home at this moment. We have found ourselves in a late night of worship that has carried us past midnight into the last day of the year. In a few hours we will say good bye to the old year, it's tears, it's fears but we will carry the Spiritual Power gained in the past into our future. Once we embrace this new touch from God for our future, there won't be a trace of the tears of yesterday. The Master's Touch will wipe them all away and fill us with a new hope for tomorrow!! His counsel has instructed me and my hope is to be wise in my latter end. We have this promise in Proverbs, that in spite of yesterday, tomorrow will be better because by God's Grace, I will be better. "So shall the knowledge of wisdom be unto thy soul: when thou hast found it, then there shall be a reward, and thy expectation shall not be cut off."(Proverbs 24:14). According to the promise of God, my expectation will not be cut off but I will overflow with hope. "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."(Romans 15:13) So I glorify God for the victories of 2012 and I embrace the trials because they have changed me. I accept the fact that I can't change every thing or every one but I know that God can change me and has done so. I refuse to waste my strength on battles I can't win thereby exhausting myself needlessly but i will use my God given strength for His Glory. I desire to be better tomorrow than I was yesterday. So by faith, I reach into 2013 with hope that God will do things beyond my wildest dreams! God Bless each of you in the new year.

"External Religion"

" Ye blind guides, which strain at a gnat, and swallow a camel. Woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye make clean the outside of the cup and of the platter, but within they are full of extortion and excess."(Matthew 23:24-25)

"The Outside" In Matthew 23, Jesus openly confronts the legalistic leaders of His day and He hit the nail on the head!! You cannot fix the inside by cleaning the outside. Legalism is when you apply rules to your life that give you the false hope of becoming accepted by God. The reason that it is a FALSE HOPE is because the only thing that can change your life is the application of TRUTH! The reason Jesus was so blunt to the Pharisees is because their man made rules were destroying the lives of innocent people. The Apostle Paul was still pushing the envelope of truth in Galatians when he said that the false teachers of legalism should be accursed. "Which is not another; but there be some that trouble you, and would pervert the gospel of Christ. But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed."(Galations 1:7-8) Legalism would take days to explain, that is if it can be explained. The difficulty with trying to explain legalism is that the rules keep changing with each cultural change or with each new generation. At its core, legalism basically has a twofold purpose; (1) To give hope of appeasing God by applying man made rules to external man. (Which is completely void of the Grace of God and will not change the inner man nor appease God). (2) The second purpose for legalism is to give the preachers that control people through the "fear of breaking the rules" a sense of power over their flocks. "For neither they themselves who are circumcised keep the law; but desire to have you circumcised, that they may GLORY IN YOUR FLESH. "(Galations 6:13)
Be Advised!! You cannot get out of legalism by simply reversing the "rules" or living a "different lifestyle." Legalism is a product of human nature combined with the popular religion of the day and the only way out is by a "Revelation of Grace"! So many people have tried to get out of legalism by trying to bring things back into their lives that they had quit doing because it was against the rules of their religious organization. Legalism is trying to please God with the actions of the flesh and cannot be reversed by more actions of the flesh. The only way to be free is to "know the truth" and in this matter, it's the truth of how the Holy Spirit works in a Christian's Life. Serving God is a matter of the heart, in any culture or in any denomination. It will take a while but you really can be free!!

"Ask for Rain"

"Ask ye of the LORD rain in the time of the latter rain; so the LORD shall make bright clouds, and give them showers of rain, to every one grass in the field."(Zechariah 10:1)

"Ask". After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Father, You are Holy, Righteous, Pure and we approach you in the Name of Jesus. We come before Your throne by the cleansing Blood of Jesus Christ!! Our prayer is, Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Please allow us the spiritual vision to see and experience Your kingdom on earth. We know that you desire Your will to be manifested in the earth and that we have a purpose on this planet to expand Your kingdom. We are keenly aware that we are in Your kingdom and that Your kingdom is in us. Please Lord God, give us this day our daily bread and provide every need we have in every area of our life. "But my God shall supply all your need according to his riches in glory by Christ Jesus."(Phillippians 4:19) O'God, forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors, our sins as we forgive those that have sinned against us. We forgive all those that have hurt us in any way, at any time and under any circumstances. Please forgive us of every wrong thought, word and action!! Please lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: Jesus, make the way straight, the paths smooth, the mountains low and the valleys level. We thank You, Father, that we are protected from all evil and no evil will visit our dwelling. "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling."(Psalm 91:10) Zechariah the Prophet says to "Ask ye of The Lord" for rain in the time of the latter rain, bright clouds and showers in the last days! Lord God Almighty, rain down upon us and shower us with Your blessings from on high. "The LORD shall open unto thee his good treasure, the heaven to give the rain unto thy land in his season, and to bless all the work of thine hand: and thou shalt lend unto many nations, and thou shalt not borrow."(Deuteronomy 28:12)
For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever, In JESUS NAME, Amen.

"Forgotten Children"

"My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, that thou shalt be no priest to me: seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children."(Hosea 4:6)

"Forgotten Children" In most cases when this verse is referred to, it is referenced in the context of ignorance. The meaning of ignorance is to not know something, there can be many reasons for not knowing certain things. If you read the entire verse you will find out the reason for this " lack of Knowledge", is rebellion. This verse spoken by Hosea the prophet plainly says that these people are being destroyed because they rejected the knowledge that was presented to them by the man of God. The consequences of rejecting the Word of God spoken by His mouth piece are horrific. There are two things mentioned in this verse that will transpire in your life as a direct result of your walking away from the voice of God. (1) "My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge"- The word destroyed means to be made dumb, to perish or to be destroyed. (2) "also forget your children" - When you as a parent reject the Voice of God in your life, you automatically set in motion a series of events that will cause your children to be spiritually dead. The worse thing that can happen to a person is to break the pattern of Blessing in your family. What will your family legacy be? Are you continuing in the faith and knowledge of Jesus or have you just walked away from God's clear voice for a more "politically correct" path? "I will also forget thy children" is a strong statement coming from the Eternal God. If, due to your rebellion, God completely forgets your children because of a set of events you set in motion, the generational curses you worked so hard to break will start all over again. In the end, you have allowed your complacency to destroy your children. Please don't just be a spectator in the Kingdom of God but a participator. Hearing and obeying the Voice of God is the best thing you will ever be able to do for your children!!

"The lepers are cleansed"

"The blind receive their sight, and the lame walk, the lepers are cleansed, and the deaf hear, the dead are raised up, and the poor have the gospel preached to them."(Matthew 11:5)

"the lepers are cleansed" Did you know that there are millions of lepers in the world today? It's not something that you hear about very often but it's a disease that is still in the earth today. There are over a 1000 leper colonies in India, several scattered around the world in such places as Louisiana and Hawaii, USA. These are technically closed but still house several lepers that just have no where to go, so they will live out their lives in the seclusion of old leper colonies. It's Christmas Day here in America and we are celebrating the Birth of our Savior, Jesus Christ!! We have festivities of all kind that include big meals with our families, exchanging gift, fireworks and church services. One of our ministries during this time of year is to provide children with Christmas gifts because their parents are not able to buy them for their children due to circumstances beyond their control. Most of you that follow our ministry know that I oversee several Pastors and Churches in India, a very unique, diverse and mysterious country. India is not a Christian nation so Christmas is not celebrated so our Pastors use December 25th as an opportunity to minister the love of Jesus Christ. The God's House Church Family here in the states provide financial offerings to enable the God's House-India Churches to have an outreach called "Jesus Day"! On December 25th, Jesus Day, the Pastors go out and give Bibles, blankets, food, clothes, etc.. to the poor, orphans, widows and lepers. This year they are going to emphasize ministering to the lepers. They are going to dress their wounds and pray for God to heal their bodies, but most of all they will tell them about Jesus Christ. Our sermons are watched in many countries and our written devotions are read in many countries around the world on a daily basis. We are attempting to reach the world with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. As you enjoy the blessings of God with family and friends today, I humbly ask that you say a prayer for those in the world that need Jesus!! We are a very blessed people, but to fulfill the "GREAT COMMISSION" we must learn to bless others. Please enjoy your blessings today but please be aware that we are called to share our love and lives with other people.

"Song of Solomon"

"The mandrakes give a smell, and at our gates are all manner of pleasant fruits, new and old, which I have laid up for thee, O my beloved."(Song of Solomon 7:13)

"The new and the old" In this book, Solomon is referred to as "The Beloved" and his lover is referred to as "My Love". In this verse there is an aroma of pleasant fruits at the gates of the city. If you will notice, the fruit is new and old. The old fruit refers to our past which, regardless of what it is, it has shaped us into whatever we are today. In real time, we are what we are but there is new fruit to be borne of us. We must enter the gate of the future, the morrow cometh, so we must run to meet it with hope and expectation. At this point in Solomon's relationship with his "Love", she hasn't understood every experience but yet she says, with confidence, "I am my beloved's, and his desire is toward me."(SS 7:10). She continues her statement of hope and confidence by saying, "Come, my beloved, let us go forth into the field; let us lodge in the villages. Let us get up early to the vineyards; let us see if the vine flourish, whether the tender grape appear, and the pomegranates bud forth: there will I give thee my loves."(SS 7:11-12). It is a new day in a new year, let's run to meet it with the Love of God in our hearts. We are told that LOVE never fails so if we become the expression of God's Love in the earth, we cannot fail. "Charity never faileth:"(1 Corinthians 13:8a). She was so in love with Solomon that she was desperate when not in His presence. She was addicted to him and he was addicted to her. If you read the book in its entirety, you will notice that they move from one experience to another but at first she hesitates because she is so attached to the experience of their relationship that she doesn't want to move on to the new day!! As their relationship progresses she realizes that He is more important than an experience. Our experiences change, so enjoy them but don't get attached. Religions are built by people trying to re-play an old experience that was wonderful but in the past. When He moves, move with Him! Experiences are bound by time which is restricted to moments but He has no boundaries nor restrictions. Let's enter the new year in the freedom of Christ, free from the law of sin, free to follow His vision for our lives. We mustn't allow the disapproval of others to hold us captive in some time frame, a mental snap shot of us from ten years ago or even yesterday. Please don't allow someone else's image of you to define or identify who you are at present and especially not in your future!!
"Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it?"(Isaiah 43:19) It's going to be good!!

"Cry unto The Lord"

"Therefore he brought down their heart with labour; they fell down, and there was NONE TO HELP. Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he saved them out of their distresses."(Psalm 107:12-13)

"Cry unto the Lord". Please break free from the guilt and bondage of a choice that you made years ago. It's over and done with, LET IT GO! It has had control over your life long enough. You will always have "friends" that will remind you of your past but that's all they can do, unless you let them in your head. "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the Spirit."(Romans 8:1). You are free from your past and present by God's Grace and your FUTURE is exploding with possibilities, so go for it!!!

"Comfort"

"And many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary, to comfort them concerning their brother."(John 11:19)

"Comfort" After the death of Lazarus, friends in the community came to comfort the family that had experienced the tragedy of the loss of a loved one.
The word comfort means to console or encourage. When we suffer the loss of a love one, we need a support group around us to help us get through this difficult time. As a preacher, the saddest funeral service that you can be a part of is when someone doesn't have a big family or support group of any kind. I've often said that there are more benefits to being a part of a church family than just hearing a sermon on Sunday mornings. When you suffer, it's a wonderful thing to have a group of spiritually minded people around you that know how to pray for you. When we suffer this kind of loss, we become very vulnerable to emotional outburst from one end of the spectrum to the other. One moment you can be laughing and without warning, weeping the next. If you haven't lost a love one but yet you have suffered a very traumatic event and are very emotional due to toxic memories, God wants to comfort you today as well. As a Spiritual Leader, I normally advise people to stay in complete control of their emotions rather than allowing your emotions to be a dictator. "He that hath no rule over his own spirit is like a city that is broken down, and without walls."(Proverbs 25:28). We should be able to maintain control of our selves at all times but when we suffer loss, especially the loss of a loved one, we must let our emotions cleanse us. Our emotional man is an outlet of relief, so during this time, just let your emotions go and you will begin to heal. You will know when it is time to regain control of your emotions and God will give you the grace you need to do so at the proper time. "I can do all things through Christ which strengtheneth me."(Phillippians 4:13) God can and will give you the strength to walk through the valley of the shadow of death and give you the comfort to smile again. I know that today you think that you will never smile again but you will because God heals the broken hearted. "Blessed be God, even the Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, the Father of mercies, and the God of all comfort; Who comforteth us in all our tribulation, that we may be able to comfort them which are in any trouble, by the comfort wherewith we ourselves are comforted of God."(2 Corinthians 1:3-4). God brings COMFORT to His children which ultimately brings healing, stability and balance back to your emotional man!!

"Snares and Deceits"

"They also that seek after my life lay snares for me: and they that seek my hurt speak mischievous things, and imagine deceits all the day long."(Psalm 38:12)

"Snares and Deceits". It must be sad to be a person that sits around thinking of ways to hurt other people. We Americians are accustomed to the phrase 911 because we were attacked by terriost on that day. It is forever etched in our minds! I will never forget that moment nor where I was that morning. I remember my thoughts, how could someone that has never even seen the people they so brutally murdered be so filled with hatred that they would die to kill perfect strangers!! It's totally insane, it can not be understood in our way of thinking. I've been to areas of the world that people will kill you for being a Christian and for simply preaching the Gospel. Someone dies every 3 minutes for the Gospel, 24/7, as we speak. Martyrdom for Christ is still as much a part of the Christian life as it has every been, that has not stopped, in many parts of the world!!!! It would be impossible to calculate the death of innocent people every day for no reason at all, not connected to the cause of Christ nor any cause for that matter, just in the wrong place at the wrong time. I've looked in the eyes of evil people that wanted to beat me to death for preaching the Gospel in their country. I could feel the demonic hate and a darkness that can be overwhelming except for the Grace of God. By the same token, I can't explain the peace I had as I survived and successfully served Jesus Christ in these circumstances for several days, I will never be the same. I find myself thinking about my next trip to such an area because there are great opportunities for Jesus, fields white unto harvest!! The above circumstances are shocking but there are other circumstances in the midst of the American Church that are far more outrageous than a terriost attack or martyrdom for Christ. I think Apostle Paul says it best; "For all the law is fulfilled in one word, even in this; Thou shalt love thy neighbour as thyself. But if BITE AND DEVOUR ONE ANOTHER, take heed that ye be not consumed one of another. This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfil the lust of the flesh."(Galations 5:14-16). The flesh controlling a "Christian" is an ugly site to behold. It's amazing how low people will stoop to justify their actions and avoid accepting any responsibility for those actions. David ran from King Saul for 10 years living in caves while the fleshly jealous Saul was brimming with hatred and jealousy against David. David was anointed with the amazing presence of God, something that most don't understand or may even fear due to ignorance of what it feels like. Sometime, fleshly, religious "christians" try to degrade what they don't understand because it makes them feel uncomfortable. Saul tried to destroy David because he had God's presence, something beyond Saul's grasp! The competition and criticism to advance personal religious agendas among so called "Christians" must be heart breaking to God. What's even sadder is the bad things they say and do to good people that brings a spirit of division in the greater Kingdom of God for the simple reason of justifying their own fleshly behavior. Truth is a Sword that divides but division by lies to justify fleshly religious actions is pathetic. The American Church has so much to offer the world, the fields are white unto harvest but "we chase mice while lions devour the land" (Leonard Ravenhill) or we simply devour ourselves thus hindering the work of God. Sad but True, please say "No" to verbal Christian abuse today, just be like Job and put your hand over your mouth. It is not wise to criticize people, things or experiences that you do not understand! If you don't want to commit, it would be best to just silently walk away.

"Religious Legalism"

"But I certify you, brethren, that the gospel which was preached of me is not after man. For I neither received it of man, neither was I taught it, but by the revelation of Jesus Christ."(Galatians 1:11-12)

"The Revelation of Jesus Christ" I recently read a short article by a Pastor on his newfound freedom in grace and I was excited to hear of his journey from legalism to grace. As I read the article and the comments from his friends, my spirit was grieved that so many people are still blinded by the evil of legalism. My wife and I have been delivered from legalism for many years. In the scope of things, we were only involved a short period so I guess I had forgotten how horrific the bondage of religion can be. As I stated in a previous article, legalism is a dangerous thing that has destroyed many churches and people. It's been almost 28 years since God gave me a Revelation about Joseph that forever altered the course of our lives. As I began to preach the Word that the Lord had given me, I was not yet aware of how much people like the rules of religion and how attached they are to their particular church teachings. You need to understand that just because its taught at a church doesn't make it a biblical teaching. It was a Revelation that would cost me the friendship of several religious fellowships, groups, and legalistic brethren. But even though I knew this message of Grace would be met which much disapproval by the "Religious Bureau of Investigation", I was willing to pay the price that it would cost to preach the Truth of Grace. When Jacob sent his sons to Egypt to buy food, their brother Joseph looked so much like an Egyptian that his brothers didn't even recognize him. He wore Egyptian clothes, spoke the Egyptian language, married an Egyptian women but he had a HEBREW HEART. His brothers, however, wore Hebrew clothes, spoke the Hebrew language, etc.. but they had EGYPTIAN HEARTS. There is a vast difference between the two, one represents the spiritual kingdom of God and one represents the system of the world. The only way you can be changed is by God's Spirit from the inside out, any other method will be a waste of your time and will ultimately destroy your life. It's 2013, the end time move of God is here so for God's sake, please burn your golden calves of legalism, follow the Ark of God across the Jordan River to the land of freedom!! "Hear therefore, O Israel, and observe to do it; that it may be well with thee, and that ye may increase mightily, as the LORD God of thy fathers hath promised thee, in the land that floweth with milk and honey."(Deuteronomy 6:3). It awaits you, but be aware, as you walk away, there will be collateral damage. Everyone won't be excited about your journey because it will punch holes in their religious rule book but the world is so much bigger than your captors would have you believe.

"Orphans"

"Defend the poor and fatherless: do justice to the afflicted and needy."(Psalm 82:3)

"Fatherless" Please pray for the children in this picture, they are orphans. There are thousands of fatherless children in India. Scott Boatner Ministries International and God's House/India feed these children everyday. Our ministry there is the only hope these children have in this world. You that are supporters of this ministry are going to be blessed and you have God's Word on it. "Pure religion and undefiled before God and the Father is this, To visit the fatherless and widows in their affliction, and to keep himself unspotted from the world."( James 1:27). To help those abandoned is a highly honored service in God's eyes. "Blessed is he that considereth the poor: the LORD will deliver him in time of trouble. The LORD will preserve him, and keep him alive; and he shall be blessed upon the earth: and thou wilt not deliver him unto the will of his enemies."(Psalm 41:1-2) Our Pastors in India are wanting us to start an orphanage in India called, "The House of Kari", it looks like we are off to a good start.

"Random Blessings"

Today on the corner of McVay and Navco in Mobile, AL/USA I providentially made eye to eye contact with a stranger. He smiled and said, "How are you doing today sir?", I replied, "I'm fine, the suns shining and I'm going to have a good day!". I travel a lot so speaking to people in general is like second nature to me but what he said next stirred my Spirit. He said, "Yes sir, I've talked to the Man for you and your going to have a good day but you have to take the opportunity." To that I replied, "Yes you do, the Bible says to REDEEM THE TIME". As we both walked our separate ways God spoke to me and said, "Believe Me for the good and look for the opportunities." It was not just a random moment but an OPPORTUNITY for me to hear the voice of God through a stranger to me but one of over 7 billion people on the planet that God used to give me a very special breath of Destiny! "For thou wilt light my candle: the LORD my God will enlighten my darkness."(Psalm 18:28)

Letter to satan....

"And the evil spirit answered and said, Jesus I know, and Paul I know; but who are ye?"(Acts 19:25)

"But who are you". The conversation in this passage in the Book of Acts is between satan's demonic spirits and some people pretending to be powerful in the Kingdom of God. (You that play religious games, have no idea what you are messing with, it is very dangerous.) Playing spiritual or religious games will get you in more trouble than you can get out of, if you don't believe me, read the story. Please notice that satan knew Jesus and Paul because they were sincere powerful preachers and prophets of Truth. Jesus Christ the Son of God took the Word of God and shut satan up at His temptation. The Apostle Paul battled satan with the Word of God his entire ministry. satan was well acquainted with these two men due to the havoc they had released against the kingdom of darkness. The scripture teaches throughout the Bible that satan hates all those that declare righteous truth about his darkness and devastation. After almost 31 years of ministry my family is aware that we are a target of satan because we preach truth around the world that makes men free!!!

"satan, you apparently know me and my family, just like you knew Jesus, Paul and all the other Men of God that preaches the Word of God. I would like to personally let you know that your attacks will not stop me from preaching the Word of God. The sermons I preach are filled with the Scripture so you nor your demons can handle it therefore you resort to attacking my family to distract me from preaching the Gospel of Grace!!! As you have seen over thirty years now, this will not stop me, I will continue to touch the world with the message of hope and healing through Jesus Christ. Yes, I'm aware that my precious wife was told, even though she has the best of medical care that she wouldn't have a long life due to her illness, (unless something changes) I am also aware the my 25 year old son has some serious health issues that have not been diagnosed yet and I'm also aware that my grandson, who is not even two years old yet was attacked today and had a seizure. Please be advised that I haven't even begun to fight and I feel noways tired!! If you don't know, now you know, that through Jesus Christ and His Promises of Healing what God's people are capable of in spiritual warfare. The Boatner Family will be Healed!!
"Who his own self bare our sins in his own body on the tree, that we, being dead to sins, should live unto righteousness: BY WHOSE STRIPES YE WERE HEALED."(1 Peter 2:24). That's correct, WE WERE HEALED at the Cross by the Bloody Stripes put on the precious back of Jesus Christ.
Isaiah 53 makes it very clear what happened at the Cross and what we gained from the CROSS by Faith. I declare that my family is healed, set free from all sickness, generational curses and any other harm or evil. "There shall no evil befall thee, neither shall any plague come nigh thy dwelling. For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."(Psalm 91:10-11)
The Boatner Family is kept, protected, blessed, healed, preserved, prospered and anointed by the Holy Ghost and the Angels according to the Word of God.
Now, devil, take your sickness, pain, fear, hopelessness and go back to hell with it; IN THE NAME OF JESUS CHRIST, TAKE YOUR SLIMY HANDS OFF OF MY FAMILY AND EVERYTHING TO DO WITH US!!!!!!! IT IS WHAT IT IS, YOU HAVE LOST!!! "Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;"(Isaiah 48:16) It's a done deal devil, there is nothing you can do about it;

Now we wait

"And, behold, I send the promise of my Father upon you: but tarry ye in the city of Jerusalem, until ye be endued with power from on high."(Luke 25:49)

"Now we wait" Jesus has been crucified, first earthquake with darkness!! The disciples waited 3 days in fear and amazement, then another earthquake with darkness. The Veil in the a Temple has rent from top to bottom, Jehovah has stepped out of the dark room, holy of holies, He is now out in the highways and hedges!! He now goes to all the World to present His message off hope to all men everywhere. What part are you playing in this divine scheme of things? People are hungry for hope, forgiveness and peace. Jesus said that the, "fields are white unto harvest", truer words have never been spoken. "Say not ye, There are yet four months, and then cometh harvest? behold, I say unto you, Lift up your eyes, and look on the fields; for they are white already to harvest."(John 4:35). In an effort to reach the lost masses of humanity God's House/Philadelphia/USA and Scott Boatner Ministries International purchased a diesel van and Bibles for the Telugu speaking people in the jungles of southeast India. I have ordained 35 Pastors there and they are relentlessly preaching the Gospel to the un reachable groups of people in this part of the world. Please pray for our ministries as they continue to preach the gospel, minister to the orphans, widows, lepers, homeless mad hopeless. As the Apostle to these wonderful people, I say thank you for all you've done to make this happen. The Bible is filled with many promises to those that help the poor, the orphans and the widows. You are about to be blessed beyond anything you can imagine!! God Bless each of you that participated in this project.

Legalism/Another Gospel

"For if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus, whom we have not preached, or if ye receive another spirit, which ye have not received, or another gospel, which ye have not accepted, ye might well bear with him."(2 Corinthians 11:4)

"another gospel" Legalism is powerful because its at the core of human nature. We see it in Adam's behavior in the garden and there were no churches or religious organizations. You may ask, "How do I know if I'm of a legalistic mindset"? Ask yourself a few questions. (1) Am I constrained by the love of Jesus or am I driven by guilt and fear of breaking the rules? The church you attend, are you adapting to the lifestyle they have laid out for you or are you growing in the knowledge of Jesus Christ? I recall one church that was actually so steeped in legalism that they actually had TV funerals, ceremonies pronouncing death to the evil electronic boxes that had destroyed their lives. After their realization of this ignorance they went out bought BIG TV's and watched EVERYTHING that came on, regardless of its content. If you are in the process of being delivered from the clutches of religion, please be aware that the Bible is your only source of truth. Since Jesus said, "You cannot put new wine into old bottles", you must have a complete mental transformation. "And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God."(Romans 12:2) If you think that legalism is about TV's, clothing styles, hair styles, then you have no idea the evil that you are dealing with.....
Legalism is a fear based relationship with a denomination, church or religious group. Christianity is a faith based relationship with Jesus Christ!! According to the Apostle Paul there are those in the "ministry" that are preaching "another gospel" that births "another spirit"! It comes down to, are you following man made rules that you assume are in the Bible because someone said they were or are you following God's Word? "Beware of dogs, beware of evil workers, beware of the concision."(Phillippians 3:2) In this passage Paul refers to legalistic preachers as "dogs" because they devour! The word "concision" means to mutilate ones flesh to try an impress God. Do you have a inner spiritual relationship with God or is it external in nature? "Who also hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life."(2 Corinthians 3:6)
Spiritual life comes from Jesus, not religious activities.

Broken Hearts

"The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit."(Psalm 34:18)

"Broken Hearts". As the sun rose on America today, the reality that we had hoped was a nightmare, we found out, of course, is a surreal reality.  We are in shock, yet again from another natural disaster. A force of nature that is hard to protect yourself from and almost impossible to predict. Even in this day of technology there are many things we cannot protect ourselves from, natural disasters and the pain of losing our loved ones tragically without warning. Death is overwhelming but if the person you have to let go, is young and innocent, it's almost humanly impossible to process. There seems to be no answer to "Why". The entire human emotional spectrum is experienced from one end to the other. We experience, shock, sadness, anger, silence, depression, anxiety and feelings that have no names. As a Preacher of the Gospel, I feel so helpless during these times because all I can do is pray. Please don't mis-understand me, prayer is a biblical teaching that lets us know that we can talk directly to God. The church that I Pastor, God's House and the ministry that I direct, Scott Boatner Ministries International are praying for you that are in the struggle of your lives in Oklahoma. Although our ministries are based out of Mississippi, we are praying. We have family and friends in the area in the military and Native Americans. You are our fellow Americans and we are in God's family, which makes us family. It would be foolish to say we know how you feel because we don't, but we are sending you our love and prayers. May God be close to you during this time.

Arise

"And Jesus came and touched them, and said, Arise, and be not afraid."(Matthew 17:7)

"Arise"   In this verse the word "Arise" means to get up again, to wake out of sleep or to rise above the ruins that you are in at the moment. We often find ourselves in the "ruins of life", seasons of life that seem to just be an existence without end.  Jesus says that we should arise, get up, dust off and move on to the future that He has for us.  Isaiah, the Prophet, challenges us to do the same thing, in spite of whatever set of circumstances we find ourselves in at the moment.   "Arise,  shine;  for thy light is come,  and the glory of the LORD is risen upon thee."(Isaiah 60:1)  Speaking of "At the Moment" it is imperative that you know that you have a tomorrow. You cannot allow your present state of affairs to dictate how you feel about your entire life.  Please notice that as soon as Jesus tells them to "Arise", He then immediately says, "Be not Afraid". You cannot break free of the "Moment" unless you are fearless. God has not given us a spirit of fear, fear is from satan.  We must rise above the fear that grips us at the moment. The moments change every 60 seconds. God fixed time so it would keep moving, even if we stopped along the way. Sometimes we may think the world stands still but it really doesn't because God uses time to make us aware that we must move on past the moment that has us held captive. It has us held captive because we keep replaying the failure or challenge of a moment in time in our past. Our past was just a rehearsal for our future! Failure is just a rehearsal for our future success, failure to a warrior is just another reason to keep fighting.  We must obey the words of Jesus, rise up, fear not and look past the moment. If we do not obey, we are stuck in one moment in time somewhere behind us, held captive by the outcome of a bad choice. We, the people of God, must rise up above the fear that is in the world and be what God intended of us to be rather than be held captive by fear. Look to the Promises of God to enable you to fulfill your dreams and destiny. Stop allowing the guilt, condemnation and fear of failure to hold you captive, like a prisoner of war.
