2015

"The Lord shall increase you more and more,
you and your children.
Ye are blessed of the Lord
which made heaven and earth."
Psalm 115:14-15

Keep it Simple!

The Year of our Lord, 2014, is drawing to a close. It has had its joys but it has also had many sorrows. Each year is filled with both joy and mourning. We are all members of different family groups, if we love one another, when one cries, we all cry, when one rejoices, we all rejoice. Some individual families have had nothing but constant sorrow for the past 12 months while some have had success and blessing. It's easy to wonder why you had all the trouble while others had a wonderful year. This year I preached a lot on being thankful, regardless of our circumstances. The Apostle Paul has assured us that "all things work together for our good" if we love God. He also instructs us "in all things give thanks" not FOR all things but "In" all things. The "Giving of Thanks" will get the attention of God, so I encourage you to find something to be thankful for each morning of your life. "I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord."(Psalm 116:17)
There are many places in Scripture that we are told to seek the Lord first thing in the morning. We should do so with the sacrifice of thanksgiving which will get the attention of our Heavenly Father!! I am sure beginning each day in this manner will be less stressful than to start the day fighting to make it all happen in your own strength. I don't know about you but I plan on letting God handle 2015 for me, I think He can do a much better job than myself!! Keep it Simple.... "Be still, and know that I am God:I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."(Psalm 46:10-11)

"Heavens and Earth shall Shake"

"The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel."(Joel 3:16)

The Mountains tremble at the Voice of the Almighty God!! If you ever hear the "Voice of many Waters", you will never be the same, it's magnitude will forever alter your life. It's your choice, whether it changes you for good or the bad. You may ask, "How could the Voice of God change your life for the bad?" Two million people heard His Voice in Exodus and all but a few requested that He not speak to them again and unfortunately they got their wish. "And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die."(Exodus 20:18-19) They later changed their minds but it was too late, the dominoes had already begun to fall. There are things that you can set in motion by a hasty choice that cannot be reversed, Moses and his followers died in the wilderness because of this one decision!!! However, Joshua, Caleb and all under the age of twenty did not participate in this horrific error. They were the minority but they chose to allow the "Voice of God" to shake their worlds in spite of the intensity of It's POWER! The Voice of God can be intimidating but you will always want to hear Him speak at any cost. If we allow God to speak into our lives, He speaks hope and strength, so don't run from the Voice. His voice may make you uncomfortable in your fleshly ways or because of your religiosity. His Powerful Voice will strip us of all our pride, sin and judgmental religion. The worst thing you could ever do to yourself or your family is walk away from the place or person the God uses to speak into your life, it will have destructive consequences!!! It's sad that some have never heard His voice, even more heart breaking, some have heard but walked away. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."(Revalation 3:20). If He is speaking to you right now, please stop and listen, it will change your life forever.

"Place of Refuge"

"In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. "(Proverbs 14:26)

The promise and hope that comes from this verse of scripture is overwhelming. We are in the "last days" but yet God's Word offers Hope to all that Fear Him! The word "fear" means to reverence God, to esteem Him in high regard. When we do this, it positions us, as believers in a "place of refuge", which is the shelter that God offers His children. It doesn't matter what fear or panic you are in at this moment, Fear God and He will position you in His shelter. When we are constantly sheltered by God Almighty, we have nothing to fear because God has us protected from the danger of darkness.
"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. "(Proverbs 18:10) The Name of The Lord is unchanging and stable at all times, no matter the circumstances that you have found yourself in at this time. Our emotional, political, national environment is constantly changing but God never changes regardless of what unstable emotions run through our minds at times. We may be facing some extreme challenges but God hasn't faced a challenge that He can't conquer and overcome. "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."(Romans 8:37) Please notice the phrase, "in all these things", things that seem impossible are possible with God. I know that these may seem like words on paper but if you will believe the Word of God, "things" will change. They may not change as quick as you wish, they may not change exactly in the way you wish but God will make something happen in your life!! "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."(1John 4:4). We are overcomers in the Name of Jesus, so trust God to be your shelter in the storm. The Word of God hasn't changed, "all things work together for our good". I declare that "good" is coming my way today because I fear God and He has me covered.

"Learn to walk away"

Some battles are not worth the collateral damage left in the wake of the fight. Please look closely at the battles you are fighting today and only fight those that prove to be of great value. We must make a choice to walk away from conflicts that drain us of our energy. We must conserve strength for another day. If we are going to finish the race of life in the lead, we must learn to walk away from some of the battles of life. The strategy of war is to "win the war" but that doesn't always mean fight every meaningless battle. Pray for wisdom from God to know when to fight and when to humbly shake the dust off, then just walk away!! Some victories are just not worth the energy it takes to get the trophy because just being able to say "I Won" is not really that beneficial. Let the enemy think he won, it will fill your enemy with false confidence and ultimately bring his demise!!

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."(Matthew 10:14)

"All I want for Christmas"

What do you want for Christmas? Let's give ourselves a Christmas gift or I should say "re-gift" something God has already given us a long time ago!!

"The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."(Proverbs 10:22) It will only take a few minutes to commit this verse to memory and say it several times a day until it becomes something you believe which turns into a DECLARATION of Faith and Truth!!! The Blessing of The Lord and no Sorrow!!! Jesus said in Mark 11 that we have what we say....What are we saying? What do we have? Please re-gift yourself this powerful Word from God, Believe and Declare it, Watch your life change before your very eyes!!! I say "AMEN"!!! What do you say?

I Believe,

"Believe The Love"

I know that things may not be going as you planned. You thought for sure 2014 was going to be your special year but it wasn't so your hope of 2015 being "the year" is already fading and it hasn't even gotten here yet!! What are going to do? Are you going to just drift off into your own little dark hole because of your past hardships? As long as you are breathing, there is HOPE!!! Just "Believe the Love", Jesus loves you so quit believing your circumstances and your emotions that are generated by those circumstances. You have 2 choices, allow your emotions to dominate you or believe the love!!! Jesus died for you which means He will do anything for you that you need!! JUST BELIEVE......It's possibly the hardest thing a Christian will ever do! It's easy to go to church, put some money in the offering, say a prayer for someone but Trusting Jesus when there seems to be no hope will probably be one of the hardest things you will ever do. If you do, it will bring unprecedented Favor and Blessing like you've never seen in the days ahead.
"And we have known and believed THE LOVE that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."(1 John 4:16)

"To make Thy Name Known"

"Oh that thou wouldest rend the heavens, that thou wouldest come down, that the mountains might flow down at thy presence, As when the melting fire burneth, the fire causeth the waters to boil, to make thy name known to thine adversaries, that the nations may tremble at thy presence! "(Isaiah 64:1-2)

The Prophet Isaiah cries out to God that He would rip open the heavens and come down!! Isaiah knows that the Presence of God is very powerful. He knows that it will melt the mountains therefore he asks God to come down in Presence to let our adversaries know that God can deal with them at any time He so desires!!! Isaiah knows that the Presence of Almighty God will not only melt mountains but make all the nations tremble. Please notice the phrase, "to make Thy Name known." Jehovah is His Name and the mention of it will manifest the Almighty's Presence. As I have said before, God didn't write the Bible to Himself but to us, so we would know how to participate in His purpose for us. Please take note that we have the Name of God upon us, so it's OUR purpose to "make His Name known "and when His Name is seen in you, the mountains, nations and all adversaries will start to tremble and melt. "Him that overcometh will I make a pillar in the temple of my God, and he shall go no more out: and I will write upon him the name of my God, and the name of the city of my God, which is new Jerusalem, which cometh down out of heaven from my God: and I will write upon him my new name."(Revalation 3:12). The reason a name is so powerful is because it's our identity and our heritage. When people wish to single you out in a crowd, they call your name and you respond, if you are meeting someone new, you will introduce yourself by using your first and last name. Your first name identifies you personally and your last name reflects your entire family. We have the Name of God upon us and we should "make it known" because it will change the nations!!! "But it is good for me to draw near to God: I have put my trust in the Lord GOD, that I may declare all thy works."(Psalm 73:28). We need to "make His Name known" in every way possible without being obnoxious and driving people away from God. We are created in God's image, unique and diverse in the way we express our faith in God. Please make Him known today!!

"Trouble can be Forgotten"

"That he who blesseth himself in the earth shall bless himself in the God of truth; and he that sweareth in the earth shall swear by the God of truth; because the former TROUBLES ARE FORGOTTEN, and because they are hid from mine eyes."(Isaiah 65:16)

I'm going to join Isaiah in saying "I'm Blessed" and my "Troubles are Forgotten"! If you live on earth long enough, you will go through some kind of trouble. The key to victory is learning to minimize the damage done in your life. Scars are better than wounds because wounds are still not healed, scars are the evidence that you have been THROUGH something but its over. I'm going to "Bless Myself" by saying I am blessed and by trying to forget my troubles by constantly asking Jesus to heal me. Some troubles obviously are more painful than others so some take longer to get over but please be aware that there is always Hope in God. "Now the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace in believing, that ye may abound in hope, through the power of the Holy Ghost."(Romans 15:13) God wants us to overflow with hope which in return will keep us at peace. We are living in a high stress society that's bound and determined to stress you, depress you or oppress you in some way. Saul's daughter, Michal, was mad at David because he was happy over the Presence of God in Mt Zion. Some people are not happy until we are all unhappy. Isaiah says to forget your former troubles and realize He will hide your troubles from your eyes. My grandson, William, loves to play hide and seek but this is hide and do not even remember, much less seek. They are gone, hidden from our eyes and we are blessed! That's God's final word on the matter, AMEN ! Have a Blessed Day.

Where are we going?

"This is the generation of them that seek him, that seek thy face, O Jacob."Selah.(Psalm 24:6)

As God Almighty looks upon us, because of our religious upbringing, we assume he's looking at our church buildings, our church clothes or maybe listening to our church lingo and that He is so impressed by our "churchy ways" that He's going to give all of us the blue ribbon. He is urging us to look at ourselves, too look within, to look at our present location and where we are headed as a nation of people. He desires that we pray, "Thy Kingdom come, Thy will be done on earth as It is in heaven". How often do we pray those exact words as commanded by Jesus Christ Himself? The prophetic looks to the future, so please join me in the Spirit for a moment, what do you see? Where will we be in five, ten or 15 years? The choices we make today will have an extreme impact on our children and our nation over the next few years. Who will our children vote for in government elections? What will those elected officials believe concerning righteousness and where will our choices today ultimately propel us in just a few short years? I ask you, "Do you want to see God"? "Who shall ascend into the hill of the LORD? or who shall stand in his holy place? He that hath clean hands, and a pure heart; who hath not lifted up his soul unto vanity, nor sworn deceitfully. He shall receive the blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation."(Psalm 24:3-5) Are we ascending up the holy mountain of God or are we declining into moral decay while sitting on church pews in a building that is clean swept but empty? Are we hoping that our dramatic tears will soothe our rotten lifestyles as we attend one our traditional gatherings we call church? Is God's Spirit touching us deep within by His Word or do we just like the emotion that is brought forth by our favorite song ? We must desire to be the GENERATION THAT SEES GOD do things that will reshape our lives forever not just an emotional moment that is fleeting. "Lift up your heads, O ye gates; and be ye lift up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in. Who is this King of glory? The LORD strong and mighty, the LORD mighty in battle. Lift up your heads, O ye gates; even lift them up, ye everlasting doors; and the King of glory shall come in." (Psalm 24:7-9)
Our Heavenly Father, Let us see what you see, let us feel what you feel, let us know what you know and most of all, "Be the KING OF GLORY and COME IN", into our days, nights, hours and moments of time that we may know you in all of your power, glory and honor forever, AMEN!!

"Greatest and Least"

"For I say unto you, Among those that are born of women there is not a GREATER prophet than John the Baptist: but he that is LEAST in the kingdom of God is GREATER than he." (Luke 7:28)

We don't always have to be first; We don't always have to be the one that knows all the answers; We don't always have to be right; We don't always have to be in charge; We don't always have to be "all that"; Believe it or not God was functioning before we came along and He will be functioning after we are gone, He is God!!! If we humble ourselves we can serve Him with grace and power but Jesus alone must be magnified. If we forget our purpose and become self-absorbed, in the end we become what we Worship!!! We must stay focused on our service to Jesus and His Kingdom or we will be like the "old wine skins" that Jesus talked about, we burst instead of containing the freshness of the Holy Spirit!!!

" No Worries"

"Be careful for nothing: But in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your request be made known unto God. And the Peace of God, which passeth all understanding, shall keep your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus."(Philippians 4:6-7)

Be careful for nothing: Don't be anxious about anything:....Hmn... Seriously, Can we do this? I mean this is the time of stress and anxiety!!! How is this even possible? Before you freak out on me, let's continue reading, "But in everything by Prayer". Have you really prayed about everything? Wait a minute, Have we prayed with a thankful heart? Are we thankful for what we already have or have we just taken it for granted. The verse commands us not to worry but to make our request known to God with thanksgiving and the Peace of God will keep (guard) our hearts and minds through Christ Jesus. In the Bible, the Word Peace means whole, nothing missing, complete, etc.. Peace from God is more than a warm fuzzy feeling that we get when something happens to go right. Our hearts and minds are Protected by Peace, completely clothed by God Himself when we pray with thanksgiving. Whatever you are worrying about today, let it to go, lay it down and walk away from it. Cast all your care upon Him for He cares for YOU. (1 Pet. 5:7) Thanksgiving is an offering to God. You don't have to come before Him empty handed, bring Him the Gift of Thanks!!! Train your Spirit to "In everything give thanks" and the Garments of Peace will fall upon you from Heaven and take you beyond your natural understanding. STOP whatever you are doing right now and give God an offering of Thanksgiving and He will Bless you more than you can ever imagine. "Now unto him that is able to do exceeding abundantly above all that we ask or think, according to the power that worketh in us, (Ephesians 3:20) Have a Blessed Day!

"Open Doors"

"But the angel of the Lord by night opened the prison doors, and brought them forth,"(Acts 5:19)

Doors represent opportunities that are in our future!! Yes we have a future, hope of a better day and opportunities that we haven't seen yet. "Call unto me, and I will answer thee, and shew thee great and mighty things, which thou knowest not."(Jeremiah 33:3) "Things-Thou knowest not", I can't wait to see what God has in my future that I haven't even thought of yet. In this story in the Book of Acts the religious spirits of the day had shut the true spiritual ministry down and threw away the key, they thought... God had other plans, if you think your life is shut down and there is no way you'll ever fulfill your dreams, THINK AGAIN!! The Angel of The Lord opened the door that was needed to give way to the fulfilling of the Word of God. It is now, when it looks completely impossible and out of the question, that God can step into your world. There is nothing impossible with God, He is the Almighty!! It is time that America wake up and put their trust in God, instead of man, man will only disappoint you again. "I will go before thee, and make the crooked places straight: I will break in pieces the gates of brass, and cut in sunder the bars of iron:"(Isaiah 45:2). God can open doors that no man can close and can make things happen that are beyond our imagination. We must put our trust completely in God because He is our only Hope. When the servants of God were locked in a prison with no hope, God stepped in and made a change that they didn't see possible. "He will keep the feet of his saints, and the wicked shall be silent in darkness; for by strength shall no man prevail. The adversaries of the LORD shall be broken to pieces;"(1 Samuel 2:9-10b)
We are living in the last days and the Word of God is very clear about these times but we often forget about the Promises of God for us that are applicable in any time. "Behold, the eye of the LORD is upon them that fear him, upon them that hope in his mercy;"(Psalm 33:18) If you feel like you are in a prison of some kind, expect to see the Angels of Deliverance because they are on their way!!

Happy 12-13-14, the next sequential date will be 1-2-34!!!

Ecclesiastes 12:13-14 "Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man. For God shall bring every work into judgment, with every secret thing, whether it be good, or whether it be evil."

Please join King David in a Prayer!!

"Wherefore David blessed the LORD before all the congregation: and David said, Blessed be thou, LORD God of Israel our father, for ever and ever. Thine, O LORD, is the greatness, and the power, and the glory, and the victory, and the majesty: for all that is in the heaven and in the earth is thine; thine is the kingdom, O LORD, and thou art exalted as head above all. Both riches and honour come of thee, and thou reignest over all; and in thine hand is power and might; and in thine hand it is to make great, and to give strength unto all. Now therefore, our God, we thank thee, and praise thy glorious name." (1Chronicles 10-13)

God can do anything for you right now!!!!

God can bless you in any circumstance that you may have found yourself, regardless of how you got in this mess!!! If you participated in getting yourself into this trouble, repent and ask for MERCY!!!! If it just came out of nowhere, ask for MERCY!!! Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers, thrown into prison in Egypt but became the leader of all Egypt with all people of all lands coming to him for food!!!!

"And unto Joseph were born two sons before the years of famine came, which Asenath the daughter of Potipherah priest of On bare unto him. And Joseph called the name of the firstborn Manasseh: For God, said he, hath made me FORGET ALL MY TOIL, and all my father's house.
And the name of the second called he Ephraim: For God hath CAUSED ME TO BE FRUITFUL, in the land of my affliction."(Genesis 41:50-52)

"Know the Mystery"

"And he said unto them, Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom of God: but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables:" (Mark 4:11)

"Know the Mystery". God wants you to know. "Now to him that is of power to stablish you according to my gospel, and the preaching of Jesus Christ, according to the revelation of the mystery, which was kept secret since the world began," (Romans 16:25) The Holy Spirit lives inside you and wants to talk to us about the plans God has for us. The day Jesus died the VEIL OF THE TEMPLE was rent, the secret is out, Jesus is no longer locked in a 10' x 10' room in the back of the Old Covenant Tabernacle. He's out in the streets, the highways and hedges!!! We are in the KNOW because we know The Mystery Man Himself, JESUS CHRIST!!! Unfortunately, we, the "Church" have hidden Him in our "Golden Calves" so that the world thinks they have to jump through our religious hoops of fire to get into the club. Guess what, there is no club, there are no hoops of fire and I don't want anything to do with Religious Golden Calves. I've crossed the river with Joshua, Caleb and the new generation, we are in warp speed to the vineyards we didn't plant, houses we didn't build and wells we didn't dig in the New Land. Some of you are probably thinking, Bro Scott, I don't have a clue what you are talking about, I know, but some of you know exactly what I'm talking about. Just by the reading of these few anointed words you feel free, strong and back in focus. You know in your heart that you know, at least enough of the mystery of Christ, to get you excited to know more!!! The days to come are full of revelation which will bring a manifestation of His power. The Day of Spiritual Outpouring is at Hand!! "And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh:"(Acts 2:17a)

"Call it Good"

"But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive."(Genesis 50:20)

On life's journey, things happen that we can't control. Sometime those things hurt, sometime they just happen without notice, without reason but sometime people hurt us intentionally. Life hasn't changed much since the days of Joseph, we still hurt when things happen to us regardless of the reason. We all have hurts and pain from our past, what's done is done! It may have been 3 minutes or 30 years but we still remember the action that caused the pain. The question is, "How are we going to deal with that pain?". Do we carry the suitcase filled with painful things around so we can have them handy when we need to feel sorry for ourselves, we open and take them out for a peak? Do we lock the suitcase filled with pain and put it under the bed to collect dust? This verse is HUGE! It's the OT version of - Rom 8:28 - "And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose."
"And we know" is a huge statement of faith! If we did know, we wouldn't have so many battles internally, emotionally, spiritually, etc... The truth is we don't know that it was somehow "Good", to know that bad will become "Good", is a deep truth about Faith in God. We must believe with every ounce of faith we have that God is for us and will work it all out. To have this kind of faith, you must love God and be called according to His purpose. Faith to know that no matter what has happened or is happening will work out for our "Good" and God's Glory is a Faith that will carry you through anything. At the end of the day, we must train our spirit to believe that God is at work in our lives, no matter what is going on. According to Genesis, whatever Adam called the animals, that was their name and are still called that today. He called cows, cows, so they are cows. So take a look behind you, take a look around you, look down the road into your future and CALL IT GOOD. It will be whatever we call it, so let's call it good. This is a journey of faith, but it is a good journey, that will lead to a good place. I'm on my way, please feel free to join me.

"Angels in our midst"

"Behold, I send an Angel before thee, to keep thee in the way, and to bring thee into the place which I have prepared."(Exodus 23:20)

The Angels of God are leading the way to the Promise Land, the land flowing with milk and honey!! They are out front clearing the path for us to walk in until we find the place God has for us. While we are traveling the path God has planned, His Angelic Host are keeping, guarding and protecting us. Whatever God has for you to do, He has His Angels protecting you until it is done. They are the servants of the Most High God that are watching over us every second of our lives. "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways."(Psalm 91:11). The Angels of God are in the process of bringing us to a "prepared place". I am empowered by the knowledge of knowing that supernatural beings created by God are enabling me to become everything God desires for me. The Bible is very clear that we have a purpose on this planet but we have an enemy trying to stop us from completing that task. In general, we are to make a difference in the lives of others but in specific we are individuals that accomplish this goal in many diverse ways. The Holy Spirit uses our individual personalities to fulfill the plans of God and we need supernatural assistance to get the job done. We are not supposed to try and accomplish these callings from God in our natural strength hence the assistance of Angels. The word "place" in Exodus 23:20 refers to a standing or a condition and the word "prepared" speaks of being set up or prosperous. If you combine the Hebrew definitions of these two words, you will find that the Angels are carrying us to a prosperous standing. The reason we are blessed is so we can be a blessing or enable ministries to establish the covenant of God in the earth. "But thou shalt remember the LORD thy God: for it is he that giveth thee power to get wealth, that he may establish his covenant which he sware unto thy fathers, as it is this day."(Dueteronomy 8:18). Just keep pushing forward, the supernatural forces of Almighty God will ensure that we win and that we change the world!!

"Whosoever Hath"

"Take heed therefore how ye hear: for whosoever hath, to him shall be given; and whosoever hath not, from him shall be taken even that which he seemeth to have."(Luke 8:18)

In this verse there are two different groups of people represented, those that have and those that have not!! Jesus says that if you have, then you will be given more but if you don't have, what you don't have will be taken away. If you will look closely at the verse you'll see the words "seemeth to have", because we assume people have a good heart because they look good on the outside. We make the mistake of thinking that just because someone has something in their hands that it's in their hearts to use it for God. Jesus makes it very clear that He knows the difference between service with heart and service without heart. If God has blessed your hands with talents and gifts to use for Him but you don't have the passion to do so, you will have it taken away. You will look down one day and what you once had will be gone because you never had the passion in your heart to use it for the Kingdom. "Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath ten talents. For unto every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance: but from him that hath not shall be taken away even that which he hath."(Matthew 25:18-29). You will look up one day and what you once did for the advancement of the Kingdom of God, someone else will be doing, because you didn't appreciate what you had!! You will be lonely, empty, and regretting the years you missed. Those of you that have your hands to the plow and you have plowing in your heart, to you more will be given in ABUNDANCE!! The God of the harvest will make sure you are blessed by the harvest when the crop comes in and it WILL come, just keep plowing!! GOD IS FAITHFUL!!

"Paper Cups"

GET A VISION OF THIS; You are standing in the rain, more like a flood, with a paper cup in your trembling hand. With this paper cup you are trying to catch the rain. Don't try to catch the Latter Rain of God's Spirit in your religious paper cup but rather just soak it up!! The religious machine is big, powerful and real. It will draw you in quickly as if you were a piece of dust on the floor when the vacuum passes over, carried away into the bag of dust where everyone looks, acts, and says the same thing!!! God's original intent was that we be like His Son not like every one else. Sure we are unified in our common goals for Jesus but our diversity is powerful because you can go where I can't and I can go where you can't. My goal as a Preacher is to get you to be like Jesus not like me. YOU are who God is going to use, not a paper cup. Men have almost always mis-guided the moves of God by trying to duplicate the last move. Let's not do that this time, let God do something new and fresh. Throw your cup away..... It's called "Divine Discontent", (Thx, Sixpence Non The Richer), get HUNGRY FOR GOD or DIE EMPTY. All things are new in Him, don't be of an old wine bottle mindset that causes you to burst when He fills you with something new. "Neither do men put new wine into old bottles: else the bottles break, and the wine runneth out, and the bottles perish: but they put new wine into new bottles, and both are preserved." (Matthew 9:17) All change is not wrong, unfortunately we sometimes think it is. "Remember ye not the former things, neither consider the things of old. Behold, I will do a new thing; now it shall spring forth; shall ye not know it? I will even make a way in the wilderness, and rivers in the desert." (Isaiah 43:18-19). Open your mind and heart because it's here; "Then shall we know, if we follow on to know the LORD: his going forth is prepared as the morning; and he shall come unto us as the rain, as the latter and former rain unto the earth." (Hosea 6:3)
