"Let there be Light"

God's answer to darkness is and has always been Light. In the beginning when the earth was covered in darkness, "God said, Let there be Light".
When Moses led two million Hebrews out of Egypt they followed a "Fire by Night". On several occasions David said in the Psalm's that God "enlightened his darkness" so that he had some understanding in moments of confusion, betrayal and pain. If you feel like the darkness is smothering you today, speak light into the darkness. David also said that God's Word was a light that would enlighten our darkness so open your Bible and just start reading it out loud in the midst of your darkness!! The Light has a profound effect on the darkness. "For thou wilt light my candle: the Lord my God will enlighten my darkness." (‭Psalms‬ ‭18‬:‭28‬ KJV) Satan will go the distance to keep you in the dark but you have a Word from God that can change satan's plans for you by shedding light on your circumstances so you can walk the correct path out of a jungle filled with noises in the night.
"The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart: the commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes." (‭Psalms‬ ‭19‬:‭8‬ KJV) Isaiah prophesied that a darkness would cover the earth but the Glory of the Lord would arise upon His people in spite of this gross darkness!! "Arise, shine; for thy light is come, and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee. For, behold, the darkness shall cover the earth, and gross darkness the people: but the Lord shall arise upon thee, and his glory shall be seen upon thee. And the Gentiles shall come to thy light, and kings to the brightness of thy rising. (‭Isaiah‬ ‭60‬:‭1-3‬ KJV)
God has never been intimidated by the darkness and neither should we at any time in our journey of faith. We must not let the darkness of the hour intimidate us but we must stand taller, shine brighter and go forth with the Word of Light into the darkness empowered by the Holy Spirit!!!
Saul of Tarsus was on the road to Damascus to persecute and kill the followers of Christ but God blinded him with light from Heaven, Jesus spoke and he became the "Apostle Paul" that gave his life in service of the one he persecuted!! The Gospel Light dispels the darkness from our lives.
"And as he journeyed, he came near Damascus: and suddenly there shined round about him a light from heaven:" (‭Acts‬ ‭9‬:‭3‬ KJV) Jesus Christ is the light that shines in your life so open the shades and let His light shine!!!
Regardless of how dark your world is right now you have this promise from God which if believed and spoken will dispel the darkness!!!
