Jesus Christ; The Controversy!!!

"And whosoever shall offend one of these little ones that believe in me, it is better for him that a millstone were hanged about his neck, and he were cast into the sea." (‭Mark‬ ‭9‬:‭42‬ KJV). Yes, Jesus Christ made this statement, He wasn't voted "Class Favorite" that year!! A millstone is basically a heavy rock, now read the verse again, it will be more of a blessing to you now that you know what a milestone is....

"And they come to Jerusalem: and Jesus went into the temple, and began to cast out them that sold and bought in the temple, and overthrew the tables of the moneychangers, and the seats of them that sold doves; And would not suffer that any man should carry any vessel through the temple. And he taught, saying unto them, Is it not written, My house shall be called of all nations the house of prayer? but ye have made it a den of thieves."(‭Mark‬ ‭11‬:‭15-17‬ KJV) Yes, Jesus Christ, actually did this in the Temple, turned their tables over, threw them out and called them thieves!!! Just deal with it the best you can.

"And they were 'OFFENDED' in him. But Jesus said unto them, A prophet is not without honour, save in his own country, and in his own house. And he did not many mighty works there because of their unbelief." (‭Matthew‬ ‭13‬:‭57-58‬ KJV) After this attempt at ministry in His hometown, Jesus the Prophet, moved up to Capernaum on the coast of the Sea of Galilee and His ministry was coordinated from there the rest of its duration on earth. (Mark 9:33) He offended people on a daily basis!!

"And in the morning, It will be foul weather to day: for the sky is red and lowring. O ye hypocrites, ye can discern the face of the sky; but can ye not discern the signs of the times? A wicked and adulterous generation seeketh after a sign; and there shall no sign be given unto it, but the sign of the prophet Jonas. And he left them, and departed."(‭Matthew‬ ‭16‬:‭3-4‬ KJV)
Yes, Jesus, called these people hypocrites, wicked, adulterous, not because He hated them but because it was the truth!! TRUTH IS NOT HATE but quite the contrary!!

"Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer Then Jesus answered and said, O faithless and perverse generation, how long shall I be with you? how long shall I suffer you? bring him hither to me." (‭Matthew‬ ‭17‬:‭17‬ KJV)
Yes, Jesus, ask these people how long would He have to endure their lack of Faith and their skewed view of things? Ignorance is always such a blessing in any type public gathering.

"Wherefore if thy hand or thy foot offend thee, cut them off, and cast them from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life halt or maimed, rather than having two hands or two feet to be cast into everlasting fire. And if thine eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: it is better for thee to enter into life with one eye, rather than having two eyes to be cast into hell fire." (‭Matthew‬ ‭18‬:‭8-9‬ KJV). I know it's a bit harsh but if certain parts of your anatomy are causing you to sin, just cut them off or gouge them out and throw them away! You obviously didn't need them anyway. Jesus was not in the local fellowship of "feel good churches", they didn't care for His sermons, miracles yes, but TRUTH, not so much...

"But woe unto you, scribes and Pharisees, hypocrites! for ye shut up the kingdom of heaven against men: for ye neither go in yourselves, neither suffer ye them that are entering to go in." (‭Matthew‬ ‭23‬:‭13‬ KJV). Yes, He told these scribes, pharisees and hypocrites that they were going to hell and to make matters worse they were hindering others from getting into the Kingdom of God!!! If you want to go to hell while playing your religious games, you can but please don't take people with you. Please fly solo on this trip!!

"And again he entered into Capernaum after some days; and it was noised that he was in THE HOUSE. And straightway MANY were gathered together, insomuch that there was no room to receive them, no, not so much as about the door: and he preached the word unto them." (‭Mark‬ ‭2‬:‭1-2 KJV) They packed in His house to hear him preach the "WORD" unto them because they were words of hope for hopeless, peace for the troubled, help for the helpless, health for the sick, strength for the weak and salvation to all mankind!!!

Just get to Jesus, He will instantly forgive you of your sin and bring you into His Kingdom!!!
