2015

"The Lord shall increase you more and more,
you and your children.
Ye are blessed of the Lord
which made heaven and earth."
Psalm 115:14-15

Keep it Simple!

The Year of our Lord, 2014, is drawing to a close. It has had its joys but it has also had many sorrows. Each year is filled with both joy and mourning. We are all members of different family groups, if we love one another, when one cries, we all cry, when one rejoices, we all rejoice. Some individual families have had nothing but constant sorrow for the past 12 months while some have had success and blessing. It's easy to wonder why you had all the trouble while others had a wonderful year. This year I preached a lot on being thankful, regardless of our circumstances. The Apostle Paul has assured us that "all things work together for our good" if we love God. He also instructs us "in all things give thanks" not FOR all things but "In" all things. The "Giving of Thanks" will get the attention of God, so I encourage you to find something to be thankful for each morning of your life. "I will offer to thee the sacrifice of thanksgiving, and will call upon the name of the Lord."(Psalm 116:17)
There are many places in Scripture that we are told to seek the Lord first thing in the morning. We should do so with the sacrifice of thanksgiving which will get the attention of our Heavenly Father!! I am sure beginning each day in this manner will be less stressful than to start the day fighting to make it all happen in your own strength. I don't know about you but I plan on letting God handle 2015 for me, I think He can do a much better job than myself!! Keep it Simple.... "Be still, and know that I am God:I will be exalted among the heathen, I will be exalted in the earth.
The Lord of hosts is with us;
The God of Jacob is our refuge. Selah."(Psalm 46:10-11)

"Heavens and Earth shall Shake"

"The LORD also shall roar out of Zion, and utter his voice from Jerusalem; and the heavens and the earth shall shake: but the LORD will be the hope of his people, and the strength of the children of Israel."(Joel 3:16)

The Mountains tremble at the Voice of the Almighty God!! If you ever hear the "Voice of many Waters", you will never be the same, it's magnitude will forever alter your life. It's your choice, whether it changes you for good or the bad. You may ask, "How could the Voice of God change your life for the bad?" Two million people heard His Voice in Exodus and all but a few requested that He not speak to them again and unfortunately they got their wish. "And all the people saw the thunderings, and the lightnings, and the noise of the trumpet, and the mountain smoking: and when the people saw it, they removed, and stood afar off. And they said unto Moses, Speak thou with us, and we will hear: but let not God speak with us, lest we die."(Exodus 20:18-19) They later changed their minds but it was too late, the dominoes had already begun to fall. There are things that you can set in motion by a hasty choice that cannot be reversed, Moses and his followers died in the wilderness because of this one decision!!! However, Joshua, Caleb and all under the age of twenty did not participate in this horrific error. They were the minority but they chose to allow the "Voice of God" to shake their worlds in spite of the intensity of It's POWER! The Voice of God can be intimidating but you will always want to hear Him speak at any cost. If we allow God to speak into our lives, He speaks hope and strength, so don't run from the Voice. His voice may make you uncomfortable in your fleshly ways or because of your religiosity. His Powerful Voice will strip us of all our pride, sin and judgmental religion. The worst thing you could ever do to yourself or your family is walk away from the place or person the God uses to speak into your life, it will have destructive consequences!!! It's sad that some have never heard His voice, even more heart breaking, some have heard but walked away. "Behold, I stand at the door, and knock: if any man hear my voice, and open the door, I will come in to him, and will sup with him, and he with me."(Revalation 3:20). If He is speaking to you right now, please stop and listen, it will change your life forever.

"Place of Refuge"

"In the fear of the LORD is strong confidence: and his children shall have a place of refuge. "(Proverbs 14:26)

The promise and hope that comes from this verse of scripture is overwhelming. We are in the "last days" but yet God's Word offers Hope to all that Fear Him! The word "fear" means to reverence God, to esteem Him in high regard. When we do this, it positions us, as believers in a "place of refuge", which is the shelter that God offers His children. It doesn't matter what fear or panic you are in at this moment, Fear God and He will position you in His shelter. When we are constantly sheltered by God Almighty, we have nothing to fear because God has us protected from the danger of darkness.
"The name of the LORD is a strong tower: the righteous runneth into it, and is safe. "(Proverbs 18:10) The Name of The Lord is unchanging and stable at all times, no matter the circumstances that you have found yourself in at this time. Our emotional, political, national environment is constantly changing but God never changes regardless of what unstable emotions run through our minds at times. We may be facing some extreme challenges but God hasn't faced a challenge that He can't conquer and overcome. "Nay, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him that loved us."(Romans 8:37) Please notice the phrase, "in all these things", things that seem impossible are possible with God. I know that these may seem like words on paper but if you will believe the Word of God, "things" will change. They may not change as quick as you wish, they may not change exactly in the way you wish but God will make something happen in your life!! "Ye are of God, little children, and have overcome them: because greater is he that is in you, than he that is in the world."(1John 4:4). We are overcomers in the Name of Jesus, so trust God to be your shelter in the storm. The Word of God hasn't changed, "all things work together for our good". I declare that "good" is coming my way today because I fear God and He has me covered.

"Learn to walk away"

Some battles are not worth the collateral damage left in the wake of the fight. Please look closely at the battles you are fighting today and only fight those that prove to be of great value. We must make a choice to walk away from conflicts that drain us of our energy. We must conserve strength for another day. If we are going to finish the race of life in the lead, we must learn to walk away from some of the battles of life. The strategy of war is to "win the war" but that doesn't always mean fight every meaningless battle. Pray for wisdom from God to know when to fight and when to humbly shake the dust off, then just walk away!! Some victories are just not worth the energy it takes to get the trophy because just being able to say "I Won" is not really that beneficial. Let the enemy think he won, it will fill your enemy with false confidence and ultimately bring his demise!!

"And whosoever shall not receive you, nor hear your words, when ye depart out of that house or city, shake off the dust of your feet."(Matthew 10:14)

"All I want for Christmas"

What do you want for Christmas? Let's give ourselves a Christmas gift or I should say "re-gift" something God has already given us a long time ago!!

"The blessing of the Lord, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it."(Proverbs 10:22) It will only take a few minutes to commit this verse to memory and say it several times a day until it becomes something you believe which turns into a DECLARATION of Faith and Truth!!! The Blessing of The Lord and no Sorrow!!! Jesus said in Mark 11 that we have what we say....What are we saying? What do we have? Please re-gift yourself this powerful Word from God, Believe and Declare it, Watch your life change before your very eyes!!! I say "AMEN"!!! What do you say?

"Believe The Love"

I know that things may not be going as you planned. You thought for sure 2014 was going to be your special year but it wasn't so your hope of 2015 being "the year" is already fading and it hasn't even gotten here yet!! What are going to do? Are you going to just drift off into your own little dark hole because of your past hardships? As long as you are breathing, there is HOPE!!! Just "Believe the Love", Jesus loves you so quit believing your circumstances and your emotions that are generated by those circumstances. You have 2 choices, allow your emotions to dominate you or believe the love!!! Jesus died for you which means He will do anything for you that you need!! JUST BELIEVE......It's possibly the hardest thing a Christian will ever do! It's easy to go to church, put some money in the offering, say a prayer for someone but Trusting Jesus when there seems to be no hope will probably be one of the hardest things you will ever do. If you do, it will bring unprecedented Favor and Blessing like you've never seen in the days ahead.
"And we have known and believed THE LOVE that God hath to us. God is love; and he that dwelleth in love dwelleth in God, and God in him."(1 John 4:16)
