In this world there is much sorrow, sorrow means pain or wounded! The vast number of people that are wounded is beyond comprehension. The sad thing is, to be wounded by someone, you usually have to be close enough to them so they can reach out an touch you. We are wounded by those we love and sadly enough we wound those we love by the things we do or the words we speak. Once we've hurt the person we love, if not corrected immediately, the distance between the two just gets further apart, day by day. Unfortunately, in time, it can become a divide so wide that it can't be reconciled, the hurt is too deep. The next thing that happens in a one on one relationship is, one or both are set adrift, drifting out into to an ocean of loneliness. The thing about being alone, in time, you begin to think about the good memories, the memory of the early days of your relationship begins to overshadow the pain but you've become so comfortable in the darkness of loneliness you don't know how to get back what you once had.... You will begin to wonder how you ever got this far apart, when you were once so close. You were once puzzled when relationships failed after lengthy periods of time but now you see how it can happen to anyone, no one is immune!! If you don't soon find a way back to a merry heart your spirit will be broken and that is a brokenness that is almost beyond repair!!
"Trying to learn to walk like the heroes
We thought we had to be
Well after all this time
To find we're just like all the rest"
(Backstreets/Bruce Springsteen/1975)
"A merry heart maketh a cheerful countenance: but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken." (Proverbs 15:13 KJV)
