"Look upon mine affliction and my pain; and forgive all my sins."(Psalm 25:18)
There are many of you who will read this that are suffering with pain. There are many different kinds of pain. Predominately when the word "pain" is mentioned we think of our physical pain. Other pain in our spirit and soul man is more of a toxic memory or some type of traumatic experience. Today let's face the fact that some of us have bodies that are racked with pain while others have no clue what we are talking about. If you fit into the "No Pain" category, stop what you are doing, get on your knees and give thanks to God that you are pain free! To those of you that deal with pain on a daily basis, I feel you and I pray God's Healing touch in your life. The verse today has the word "pain" in it but it also refers, in Hebrew, to our toiling because of the discomfort caused by pain. The word "affliction" is a reference to our depression, being pressed down or being overwhelmed by some struggle we are facing. The world, the church and our lives are full of pain, painful memories or toxicity of some kind. David is asking God to "Look" upon his pain, affliction and sins. "Look"means to see, to gaze or to have a vision of; David, very openly, says to God, "Please take a Look!!!" The word "Forgive" in this passage means to
"LIFT", so I join David and say "Lord Lift this off Me"...... Do you need something lifted off of you today? The word "cry" is found often in the scriptures, we automatically associate cry with pain so cry out today for God to lift it off you. The word "forgive" in the Hebrew in this passage also means "ease"; Lord, please "EASE" my affliction, my pain and my sins today, today I cry unto you!!! "A Psalm of David. Unto thee will I cry, O LORD my rock; be not silent to me: lest, if thou be silent to me, I become like them that go down into the pit."(Psalm 28:1). Let's just take the mask off, let down our front, wash off our church perfume and cry today. The Tears of the Spirit will wash away all of our yesterday's, the Bloody Stripes of Jesus will heal our bodies and God Himself will lift our sins off of us today. Today is the day that God does the impossible.

Be Thankful anyway......
If the heaviness of darkness has settled on you like fog on a mountain, you have nothing too lose so just get an "attitude of gratitude"!!! BEING THANKFUL, anyway, WILL MOVE THE DARKNESS AND THE MOUNTAIN THAT HAS YOU AT A STANDSTILL!!!
Just haul off and try being thankful.....let me hear from you!!!
Not "for" but "in" everything "GIVE THANKS!!!
1Th 5:18 IN EVERYTHING give thanks: for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you.

They were wrong...
Have you ever been criticized? Have you been told that you would never accomplish anything? If you weren't told by someone's voice, you could feel it emitting from their judgmental spirit or maybe the way they looked at you. Were you bullied in school? Are you intimidated now? Did you have to hang out with the "unpopular" group because you weren't "cool" enough to hang out with the self-proclaimed"cool" people? Today, you are an adult with a load of toxic memories that haunt you especially when you see certain people in public!!
The "elephant in the room" is never discussed but quietly left under the rug. When you see them they do one of two things, go down the isle your not on or stop and talk as if nothing ever happened....THEY WERE WRONG then and THEY ARE WRONG now!!!! You can be or do anything God has purposed for you. There should be a dream deep down in your Spirit that God placed there many years ago but because of what "they" said and say, you keep your future repressed. You take it out and look at it, dream about it occasionally but then you put your dream back in its cage. The reason you do that is because those toxic memories are just as real today as they were when you walked the halls of your high school. Let it out, turn it loose and let it lead you in the way that God created for you!! Yes, you are gifted, talented and one of a kind that God created for a special place in this world!!! THEY WERE WRONG then and THEY ARE WRONG now about you. Don't let anyone or anything hold you back.
"Hope deferred (prolonged) maketh the heart sick: but when THE DESIRE cometh, it is a tree of life.
THE DESIRE accomplished is sweet to the soul:"
(Proverbs 13:12, 19a KJV)
Don't let someone else control your life when God has so much in store for you!!!

HURT.......
Ask yourself these questions;
Did my "feelings" get hurt or have "I" been hurt?
Has our "relationship" been violated?
There is a BIG DIFFERENCE between getting your "feelings" hurt and having your "relationship" with someone violated!!! A heartfelt "I'm sorry" will fix our feelings most of the time, if we are mature enough to process the difference between daily feelings and the depth of long term relationship. If a long term relationship gets violated, trust breaks down and that type of hurt is something far deeper than just "feelings"!!!
Just by definition, the word "violation" is going to be much deeper within our inner man that just '"feelings"!! It is a must to categorize our relationships and our hurts!! Do we know one another because we work together, go to church together or are we bound by vows of marriage or family?
Our relationships with others whether they be a spouse, parent, sibling, children, coworker, church or recreation are like assets, either solid or liquid. A liquid changes depending on the container but a solid holds its shape!! What is the context of the relationship? Is the relationship seasonal or life time? Did you get your feelings hurt or have YOU been hurt deeply? Please consider these thoughts before making permeant decisions concerning relationships. JESUS IS MY HEALER!!!!!
"but by sorrow of the heart the spirit is broken."

Whatever you are facing today, please know that your VICTORY is in the STRENGTH OF GOD!!!
"I returned, and saw under the sun, that the race is NOT to the swift, NOR the battle to the strong, NEITHER yet bread to the wise, NOR yet riches to men of understanding, NOR yet favour to men of skill; but time and chance happeneth to them all."

God doesn't have bad days!!!
Aren't you glad God doesn't have bad days? Even when we are not so strong in our faith, He doesn't change!!!
"For I am the LORD, I change not; therefore ye sons of Jacob are not consumed." (Malachi 3:6)
Our daily faith status update may have an extreme impact on our day, but has no impact on the nature and intent of our God. I'm very happy to know that even when I can't seem to get it together, He's got it together for me. I'm at peace knowing that God has my name tattooed in the palm of His hand.
"Behold, I have graven thee upon the palms of my hands;" (Isaiah 49:16)
He holds me in His hand, safe from the enemy!!!
"And I give unto them eternal life; and they shall never perish, neither shall any man pluck them out of my hand." (John 10:28).
No matter what happens on this planet, in this life, I cannot perish because my God has got me in His hands, holding me safely.
"A thousand shall fall at thy side, and ten thousand at thy right hand; but it shall not come nigh thee." (Psalm 91:7).
Nothing can separate me from the Love of my Heavenly Father. Thank You, God!!
"If we believe not, yet he abideth faithful: he cannot deny himself."(2 Timothy 2:13)

When I feel the cold of winter.....
When I feel the cold of winter |
Oh the evil things that shake me
All the words that break me I need You
Over the mountains, over the sea
Here You come running, my Lover to me
Do not hide me from Your presence
Pull me from these shadows, I need You
Beauty wrap Your arms around me
Sing Your song of courage, I need You
Over the mountains, over the sea
Here You come running, my Lover to me
Oh, through the valleys, through the dark of night
Here You come running, to hold me till it's light
I'll come running, I'll come running, I'll come running back to You

Is your life a wreck?
Draw a line in the sand which will be a boundary, by default, it will create a perimeter around your life and once again, by default, it will create a structure, then you will have what is called context in your world!!! Your marriage has a different context than your job!! These disciplines define what you do at home, work, school, church or you will just do random all day creating confusion and unnecessary stress in your life. You must have structure or your children would have no idea which school bus to get on after school, worse yet, what house is their home? Is your life a wreck, if so, I advise you to read the Book of Proverbs until the merry-go-round stops, then get off and go home where it's safe!! If you have stress at home, work, church and school, you must stop the madness or the madness will stop you from enjoying your world!!!
