"In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whom also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that Holy Spirit of promise,"(Ephesians 1:13)
"In whom ye also trusted" "Whom" did you trust the day you got saved? Was it a certain kind of experience that you were seeking to please the religious group you were with? Was it the Preacher that preached that day? Was it the Water Baptism with the correct words spoken by the "right" person at the "right" location? Just exactly what happened the moment you met Jesus? Did you actually meet Jesus or did you just begin a journey of adapting to a lifestyle that was in the unwritten manual of the church group you were raised with from a child. Did you just go to a service with some friends and since they cried, you cried and called it salvation??? Salvation is when heaven and earth collide in the heart of man, when you put your trust into Jesus, not something or someone else but Jesus Christ Alone!! "After you heard the word of Truth", did you hear truth or a compelling to perform in the church circus? Did you need Jesus or did you just need to feel accepted by the people present? Salvation is a spiritual experience that puts you in the family of God and the Holy Spirit comes to live in you forever. "Sealed" in the Greek means to "stamp for security and preservation", by the Holy Spirit of Promise!! "Promise" means a pledge of divine assurance, do you have that? If you don't have that, I suggest you give your salvation experience a good looking over. You only get saved by Jesus, not 1-800- something or www. something but by Jesus Christ and by no other means can you be saved. "Look unto me, and be ye saved, all the ends of the earth: for I am God, and there is none else."(Isiaah 45:22) Just look to Jesus today, He is the Savior of the world. "Who hath saved us, and called us with an holy calling, not according to our works, but according to his own purpose and grace, which was given us in Christ Jesus before the world began,"(2 Timothy 1:9)
