"Which way are you leaning"

My grandsons, like all young children, love cartoons and we have some at our house that they watch repeatedly. I have no idea what the name of this one is nor what it's about but I heard an elder in the village tell a young man, "Trees fall the way they lean, be careful which way you lean"!
