Fighting spirits with something other than The Spirit of God is counterproductive and self destructive!! You will basically and inevitably implode!
Some of you are fighting with all you have to fight with but you are no better off today than you were 6 months, 12 months or even years ago, actually you are worse maybe at "wits end" because you are weak and weary!! You are weak and you are an emotional basket case! But, you have to try to keep it together for some very important reason maybe a relationship, maybe your children, grandchildren but deep down you know you are drowning in a sea of thoughts, feelings and emotions that are out of control! Now your "Emotional Man" is controlling you instead of your "Spirit Man" which means this viscous cycle will never end. God is a Spirit, you are a Spirit, you live in a Body that God created and you have a Soul!
The hurt, the pain, the loss, the trauma, the whatever it is can only be faced from The Spiritual Aspect of the Person of Jesus Christ!! Jesus Christ is the Author and Finisher of our Faith! He came to save us not condemn us and deliver us not just from an eternity in hell from from the hell we fight everyday on this earth!
So now you have an Evil Spirit controlling your emotions so YOU MISTAKINGLY THINK YOU ARE FIGHTING the right enemy because these feelings came with the tragic event that put you here BUT IN REALITY YOU ARE FIGHTING AN EVIL SPIRIT!!!
YOU CANNOT DEFEAT A "Spirit" with an emotion not even a "Religious Emotion"!
(Religious Emotion Defined; A feel good moment at a church service but not a real encounter with the Holy Ghost!)
"God did not give us a "Spirit of Fear"! (2Tim 1:7) You will have to fight a Spirit with a Spirit! An evil spirit is backed by lies that produce unhealthy emotions. However the HOLY SPIRIT is backed by the TRUTH OF God's Word!!!
You will need to be able to tell the difference in unhealthy emotions and bad spirits! You must "Try the Spirits", to do so you will need the "Spiritual Gift of Discernment" which you get from the Holy Ghost!! You are wondering how, you seek God and Ask!!
"Now concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant."

"Beloved, believe not every spirit, but try the spirits whether they are of God: because many false prophets are gone out into the world." (1 John 4:1 KJV)
You MUST have the Power of the Holy Ghost working in you with His Spiritual Gifts to see, understand and defeat these evil spirits because fighting evil spirits with emotions will drain you to the point of no hope and.....
"Hope deferred makes the heart sick"! (Proverbs 13:12)
